Bouquet Toss
The bouquet toss can be performed in many different ways. The standard is to have all the single ladies stand at one end of the dance floor with the Bride at the other. With her back to the ladies, the DJ will count to three and then the Bride will toss the bouquet over her shoulder for the ladies to scramble for it.
Bouquet Presentation
The bride will do a presentation of the Bouquet to a special person in her life. It could be her mother, sister, grandmother or bridesmaid. The DJ will call that person to the dance floor to receive the bouquet.
Garter Toss
We will have the Bride sit on a chair on the dance floor while the Groom attempts to remove it from her leg. We like to make it a little more difficult for the Groom by instructing him that he will not be able to use his hands and the Bride can't help him. With his back to the single men at the opposite end of the dance floor, the DJ will count to three and then he will toss it over his shoulders for the men to wrestle for it.
Garter Auction
This isn't your normal auction. We get anyone, male or female who would like to bid on the garter onto the dance floor with the Bride and Groom. Anyone who wants to bid on the garter must give the Bridal couple 1 dollar. The DJ will then tell them if they want to stay in the bidding they must now give you 2 more dollars. After you collect the money it will jump to 5 more dollars. We then jump to 10 dollars, then 20 dollars, then 50 dollars and so on. As the amount increases, people will drop out. We continue until one person pays the final amount. The garter auction can bring a nice amount of money much like the Dollar Dance.
Garter Raffle
We will announce that the Bridal party will be selling raffle tickets for $1.00 each and later in the evening one ticket will be pulled by the Bride and Groom and the person with the winning ticket will win the Garter. Guests may buy as many tickets as they wish and must be present to win. We will supply the tickets the Bridal party will sell. They will give the money the money to the DJ for safe keeping. This can make hundreds of dollars if your Bridal party really pushes to sell the tickets.
Toast To The Married Couple
A toast is usually given by the Best Man and the Maid of Honor. Sometimes another Bridal Party member or a Parent will also want to do a toast. The DJ will supply a microphone to the Bridal table so they give their toasts if dinner music is added to your package.
Toast To The Parents
When the toasts to the Bridal Couple are finished, sometimes the Bridal couple will stand and toast the Parents, telling them of how important the parents are to them and thanking them for this day. The DJ will supply a microphone to the Bridal table so they give their toasts if dinner music is added to your package.
